So this is coming up in just less than a couple of months. Getting pretty excited. I've got 6 pieces finished out of the 10 that I'm aiming for. Because I'm a wanker with delusions of grandeur, I'm releasing a Fucking Teaser.

But regardless of whether you care about seeing my shit or not, this show will be killer. The few things that I've seen from the other 6 riders are bullshit good.

I recently read the Re-Animator story by Lovecraft. It ruled, and prompted me to rewatch the movie. Shit rules too. Probably beats out Evil Dead for over the top, half tongue in cheek gore. Herbert West anyway.

The Brisbane river got too full over the summer, and I had to pack all my shit up and get it out of my apartment. Long and boring story short; until last week, my lightbox and just about everything else I owned was locked in a storage shed. While crashing at a mate's house in between houses, I sketched this up; and I've just now finished inking. Bruce Lee kicks all sorts of arse.

I've been so busy lately with end of year bullshit. The little free time I've had has been spent staring at the wall, trying to recover from my non-free time.

Wasted Dream turned out to be a huge success. Thanks to everyone involved. Huge thanks go to Alex, who put in so much effort helping me hang my frames from the roof. I was blown away by the calibre of work on display; and am already thinking about the next one.

In other breaking news, velociraptor is the best dinosaur ever.

For my recent(ish) birthday, a bunch of people chucked in and got me a tattoo gun. Pretty funny. I'm stoked though. I broke it in the other week with a PI tattoo on my own thigh, and then turned it on someone else for the first time yesterday.

I finished this a couple of weeks back, but I've been lazy with my scanning, and my computer has just undergone an upgrade and operating system change. Now I'm capable of wasting my time playing video games at eyeball-bleeding levels of detail. Good for me.

Anyway, the new Predators movie isn't half bad. I think the 2nd movie doesn't deserve nearly as much flack as it cops; and if you don't think the first movie is awesome; hit the back button now, and don't come back.

I finished this the other week, but haven't been able to post it; because it was for my brother Dan's birthday. The photo is kinda shitty -I have a lot of trouble getting colour to scan right and look good on a computer screen, so I completely skipped the whole annoying process. My camera died recently, so I've been using my phone instead.

I thought that for this post, I'd put up a series of pictures of my latest piece at various stages of completion. Because it was so big, I had to clear out space in the garage -the garage floor being the only flat and accessible surface I had that was large enough to work on.

I paste it up for an exhibition that's happening tomorrow. It'll stay there as long as it stays there, I guess. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Finished this yesterday for Will's new venue, Burst City

This is going to be a flier for a benefit show on the 1st of May that'll help cover some of the costs of setting up and maintaining the place. Well worth it. Brisbane's needed a place like this for a long time; and it couldn't be in better hands.

Two versions: one is coloured using my mad photoshop skills.

I'll add the flier with the Total Info once it's all confirmed.

Due to a recent move, and my dayjob getting nuts lately; I haven't been drawing as fast or as much as I'd like. I've had this pencilled for probably 2 months now, and only in the last week have I managed to ink it, and finish it off properly. I used the same sort of technique as my leatherface for this: watercolours mixed with coffee and tea to stain the page, then inked with sharpies and whatnot.

I hopefully will pick up the pace soon, and do some more spaghetti western themed pieces, and also maybe a Robocop and a John Mcclain.

I'm without a scanner at the moment, so forgive the image quality -I had to use a camera.

I finished this last night, and am pretty happy with how it turned out. I used tea and coffee to stain the paper, with red watercolour/coffee for the blood. Inked with sharpies as normal.

I've had this finished for a couple of days now, it's going to be the image on the Agents of Abhorrence flier.. Lettering will be added later today or tomorrow. This show will be a rager I reckon (18th of December at the Step Inn)

I've been really, really lazy over the last couple of months. Since getting back from foreign, I've done fuck all drawing, save the odd scratch here and there. In the last week or so, I've finished off this for my mate in New Orleans, Christion. It's for a fest he's putting on in November -I'll post the entire flier once I get approval from him.

Black Freighter is, predictably, on the backberner at the moment -for no real good reason.

I haven't managed to put pen to paper for what seems like quite a while now, for the primary reason that I've been planning a trip to North America for the last 2 or 3 months.. My pens have all run out of ink, and I haven't had the time/spare money to go get some new ones (yeah.. I'm that lazy)

I have no intention of turning this blog into a dumb travel diary -but I will hopefully get some drawings done while I'm on the road (most of them, I can almost guarantee, will be shithouse) and will try post them up at some point.

I'm due back in Brisbane on the 1st of July and will most probably get back on track with sitting down and drawing real shit again.

Have been working on doing a version of the Watchmen sub-story, Tales of the Black Freighter, recently. At the moment, it's in planning/storyboarding stage but I should have some scans soon. It's easily the biggest drawing task that I've ever set out to do. It's originally written (by Alan Moore) as a pirate story but my version will be set in Australia, post-apocalyptia.

If you haven't already, check out the Watchmen. Pretty easy to get now, I'm assuming, due to the new movie.
